So the September event wrapped up less than 15 minutes ago. Unfortunately we missed some of regular players because of a newborn baby to Jen & Mike. Welcome Wesley! We look forward to teaching you play poker in about 7 years! Also, Mike H, the guy that wanted the early cash game didn't even bother to show up!!! Bastard! More importantly, we welcomed two new players to our little game. Jason brought along a friend of his Holly. Holly was practically a poker virgin. We fixed that! As I type this she's over at the cash game playin' like a pro! I won't posit which pro however...LOL! Also new to the game was Cindy, a friend of Nikki's from a parenting forum and also the sister of a former co-worker of our's (Hi Sheri!).
Action was fast and furious with the Sheep Fucker at one point having a HUGE chip count because of some absolutely asinine calls that ended up hitting him in the face. One big hand saw Jason lose most of his stack to him. However, the cards eventually played out as they should and Mooney joined the rail. As you can see below, Jason went on to defeat Cindy heads up and take what may have been his very first first (although there is some speculation that he may have won one back in '06 but records don't exist back that far). Congrats Jason & Cindy! Not only did they come in first and second they stole away those points from us league members. Here's how the night ended up.
As you can see, both Brett & Adam invoked the Adam Rule and rebought before the end of the first orbit. With Jason & Cindy scooping 1st & 2nd it's going to make it all the more difficult for anyone to catch Nikki. But I don't think it's mathematically impossible yet.
The next event is October 18th and is just a standard format game. November's game is going to be the $5+$5 bounty like we did earlier in the year.
