Hey kiddos! Sorry about the delay but apparently, as it turns out, I suck.
The May event, from what I can remember, was a pretty decent night. We had FOUR - yes count 'em FOUR - new players show up! Not only that, but one of the new players, Paul, ended up taking it down in a grueling heads-up battle against Nikki.
Over on the cash game side of things Mooney, of all people, cleaned the fucking house! While I haven't heard from them, there is a distinct possibility that Will is still paying off the money he borrowed to finance Mooney's win. :-)
This month's poker is tomorrow night. (heh)
Of course the big news is that the July event is the Poker@Rob's $2 Rebuy Extravaganza! Please remember to bring toonies. The format will work as follows: $2 buyin (plus $2 for food and $2 league fee), you will be allowed one immediate rebuy for $2. Rebuys will then be unlimited for the first 3 levels anytime your stack drops below the starting value. After the end of the third level one add-on will be allowed for an initial $2. Starting stacks and blind levels will be modified from the current settings for the rebuy event. I have a feeling a LOT of blue chips will be in play by the end of the night...
Oh yeah - it's also the BBQ! Hopefully it's a nice day and night. If it is we'll probably end up moving the tables outside to play.
