April!

Well the April game is in the books and it was a good night! Joining us for only the second time was Denise and her boyfriend Jeremy joined us for the first time! Although neither made the money I'm hoping that we'll see them back again. We had another first last night - an impromptu rebuy. Adam managed to get himself knocked out within the first orbit and wanted to rebuy. A consensus was held and it was decided that since he was knocked out inside the first orbit that he could rebuy but also had to contribute the $2 league fee again for his second entry. (Well, actually HE was the one that proposed that) So rebuy he did. At next month's game we'll further discuss this to see if we should make it a standing rule: If a player gets knocked out in the first orbit they have the option of one rebuy but must also include the regular league event fee.

Now, if you direct your attention downward you will see that the person entered as the second place finisher is not a mistake. Yes - the sheepfucker finished in 2nd with an absolutely stellar call to my all-in push with K9o. I had ATs. The flop came K-x-x. The turn was a K, and just to add further insult to injury, the river was the case king to give the little bastard quad kings. At the time Jason was dealing. I think he stacked the deck as there was a dinner date riding on it for him if Mooney won the tourney. Oh yeah - and Mooney had to wear the dress. :-)



Next month's event is May 24th - which is NOT the long weekend but the weekend after it. Because Nikki is set to explode at somepoint mid-May the event will not be held at our place. Brett has been kind enough to offer up his place for us to play. More information and directions will follow as we get closer to the date.

June's event is going to be June 21st back at our place. The Annual Poker@Rob's BBQ and Poker Extravaganza will be held July 19th. That event will also be the $2 rebuy event. The menu will most likely be the same as last year - burgers, hot dogs, salads. Obviously we'll start earlier that month so we have time to eat and play some Rock Band before starting to play poker. We'll actually probably kick things off mid-afternoon for anyone with nothing better to do and eat at 6pm, play some Rock Band after that until 8:15-8:30 then start playing poker. Hopefully EVERYONE will be able to make it out. Mark it on your calendar's NOW!
